Noah Spencer is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based out of Kansas City. He has also been a member of The Greeting Committee since 2018, and in 2019, parted ways with a previous project and started work on his own songs between touring legs. The separation of his project prior to going solo was heartbreaking and resulted in his own difficulty balancing relationships. Writing became his instant outlet.
The music written during this time found itself to be his debut record “Census.”
Spencer worked on the music in different cities, bedrooms, hotels, and eventually found a home in the studio of mentor/engineer Mike Crawford of Mike Crawford and His Secret Siblings. Spencer wrote, recorded, and produced the record in its entirety. Close friend, collaborator, and drummer Micah Ritchie, was alongside for the “Census” writing, recording, and production process. While on the road with TGC and Hippo Campus, Noah connected with Caleb Hinz (Baby Boys, The Happy Children) who would contribute post production and mixing to the record’s final touches. During the mixing process, Hinz and Spencer equated the sonic landscape of the record to the feeling of winter.
Spencer released his debut single Wednesday ft. Addie Sartino on February 25, 2021. His second single, Over My Head, was released on May 28, 2021.
His debut record Census is out now.
