    The Magi

    Saturday 7:25pm | P3 Park Stage

Damien Horne (The Farm), Kenny Carter (Waterdeep, Trump Dawgs), and David “DJ” Lee (Scratch Track) have merged their individual talents as artists, songwriters, and producers. After years of performing in colleges, clubs, and churches, they have joined forces to bring a positive and encouraging musical experience to uplift souls and inspire a wide variety of audiences. By mixing bass grooves, beatboxing, acoustic guitar, and Soul- Felt vocals, The Magi create an organic sound that is unique and specifically their own. “All I Want is You” is full of lush harmonies, groove, and a melody that you can instantly feel. Independently released, the single is produced by The Magi’s own Kenny Carter. “This song makes a lot of sense as our 3rd single because it explores another element to our sound”, says Lee. “When Kenny brought the rough idea to me and Damien, we both LOVED how much vibe it had.” “Years ago I created a demo for ‘All I Want Is You’. All I had was a groove, a bass line idea, some mumbling, and a title. It sat on my hard drive for a long time. When DJ, Damien, and I got together, I knew I had brothers I could collaborate with and create what I had in mind all these years for the song”, Carter explains. “I have always loved songs that marry grimy hip-hop or neo-soul with more traditional elements like Middle Eastern or Spanish influences—and that’s what I had in mind for this track. I feel like it does that successfully.” Horne adds, “This is one of my favorite Magi pieces, not only groove-wise, but lyrically as well. Metaphorically, it takes you on this epic journey of discovery that is powerful and poetic.” “All I Want is You” is available on all digital music platforms May 28, 2021. The three members of The Magi are solo artists, songwriters, and producers who believe they can be stronger together. Like Aristotle said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Meaning, when individual parts are connected together to form one entity, they are worth more than if the parts were by themselves. The Magi come together, as brothers, to collectively write honest and real songs in an unique format.
