At the Young Age of 8, artists like Orff, Bach, Beethoven & Mozart drew me into the whole realm of music. I had never been moved before by anything else in my life like the way their music moved me. Right then I was hooked & I knew that there was only one thing that I wanted to do with my life. Over the years, my list of musical mentors & the genres of my musical library grew … (Rock) Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, (Alt Rock) Sublime, Nirvana, Red Hot Chilipeppers, Beck (Electronic) Daft Punk, Moby, Fatboy Slim, Crystal Method, (Soul / Funk) Nina Simone, James Brown, Prince, Jackson 5, (Hip-Hop) Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, & KRS-One. In time I decided that genres were just boxes that people liked to keep their interests in life & music contained. I discovered that the real power was in the actual stories that were being told. Since learning that, it then became my goal to create music in all types of genres so I could reach people in their time of need & encourage them to Be Themselves. In the end, if I can reach people like my musical mentors reached me, then I will consider my life well lived.
