Denver, CO based artist Lucas Parker explores and exploits the musical “impurities” that make jazz fusion and jam-rock two of the most dazzling platforms for electric guitar and composition.
For over 15 years, Lucas has caught and held the attention of the live music and festival circuits in the Midwest and beyond with his energetic stage presence and a no-holds-barred approach that is simultaneously high-brow and from the heart. Lucas Parker Band’s music possesses the harmonically rich sensibilities and sleek precision and of the jazz-rock pioneers of the ’70s and early ’80s, while also embracing the reckless abandon that embodies the deep tradition of improvisational rock music. At the center is Lucas’ high-octane but soulful guitar playing, which can be described as putting ingredients from Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, and David Gilmour in a blender and hitting shred.
LPB has supported numerous national acts including: Andy Frasco & the U.N., Nate Smith & Kinfolk, TAUK, Ariel Posen, Marbin, Consider the Source, Kris Lager Band and many more. Lucas averages a combined 150 shows a year coast to coast with various acts including Lucas Parker Band, Denver-based power trio Cycles, and Kansas City, MO’s Jessica Paige (Pitch Magazine Best Vocalist 2021). Lucas has appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert with Tech N9ne, and has performed on stage with Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Stanley Sheldon (Frampton Comes Alive), Andy Frasco and countless others.
