Mary and the Matrix is an all female alternative rock band based out of Nashville Tennessee. The band was started by lead singer Mary Malu and consists of Courtney Dymon on bass, Tess Pope on guitar, and Alannah Lavoie on drums. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Lady Gaga, Joan Jett, and Tina Turner, the band aims to write of the female experience and redefine what it means to be a woman in the industry. It will be an exciting homecoming for frontperson, Mary Malu as she was born and raised in Kansas City.
